Mayco Emerald is glaze #8 in my commercial glaze tests. It's a translucent gloss, sometimes called a 'celadon'. This type of glaze looks great on porcelain and white stoneware, the color disappears on darker clays. I usually don't test celadon type glazes on dark clay unless they are super saturated, because they usually lose color on those clays. The tests were dipped for a 3-second dip, fired to cone 5 1/2 on Kentucky Mudworks and Standard (112) clays.
